Assistant Production Manager Essential Functions:
- Supervise production personnel, including delegation of work, evaluating, etc.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Verifies production counts from previous day.
- Verifies first part production is ready.
- Verifies all production paperwork and boards are properly filled out.
- Acquire production packets as needed.
- Prepare production staffing schedule in absence of production manager.
- Fill in as needed when production supervisors are absent.
- Run production and operate machinery as needed.
- Monitor/document productivity of cell to meet/exceed standards, including controlling downtime and effectively utilizing employee time.
- Exceed average standards of attendance.
- Ensure safety guards and personal protective equipment are always used throughout the department.
- Follow Work Instructions, procedures, and company policies, including safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping throughout the department.
Assistant Production Manager Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to maneuver the facility
- Ability to operate various office equipment, including a computer, phone, copier, & fax machine
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
- Basic knowledge of computer skills, including Excel & Word
- Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external personnel
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions
Pay: $60,000-$80,000 yearly Based on Experience
