Concord Hospitality Enterprises is Hiring a Divisional Vice President of Sales - Concord Hospitality Enterprises Near Raleigh, NC

Reporting to the EVP of Operations, this role will have oversight to a select portfolio of hotels and will have active involvement in all sales and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the selection process of hotel sales leaders. Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure strategic hiring plans are in place. Create follow-up process, touch base with new sales leaders to ensure they have proper onboarding and training, and the tools needed to be successful in their jobs.
  • Train sales leaders on the Concord sales call productivity standards and maintain a follow-up process to ensure they are met consistently. Develop plans for sales leaders if they fall short on expected goals and timelines, assisting them in improving productivity and achievement of goals.
  • Develop succession plans for sales team members within the portfolio, ensuring that sales leaders are given the tools, mentoring and guidance to further their growth within Concord for future roles.
  • Direct involvement in the sales activities involving the pre-opening of new hotels and acquired hotels. Take ownership of the pre-opening / transition-take over checklist to include: setting up sales team sales strategies, working with brand representatives related to marketing plans, setting of pre-opening revenue goals, marketing and promotional materials.
  • Ensure all Concord Sales guidelines are in place and that sales associates are following them. Ensure properties are using proper ETools/on property CRM Tools, and that they are following Concord processes/standards – audit as needed. Provide leadership as needed with annual and daily group pricing, RFPs, and special events.
  • Conduct sales calls with top revenue producers for hotels in the portfolio. Develop strong relationships with customers/brands and ensure that associated sales leaders have similarly strong relationships.
  • Assist with the development of GM’s on how to effectively manage their sales associates and sales efforts, which may include training on how GM’s can impact sales - directly teaching as needed about the importance of the “GM’s 10 Commandments of Sales”. Develop processes to follow through that GM’s are actively monitoring sales call frequency with each hotel top ten customers.
  • Participate in weekly GM Sales Pulse meetings for hotels.
  • Assist poor performing hotels in the development of effective and strategic sales plans, identifying and correcting issues causing problematic trends.
  • Provide support, monthly critiques and assistance in the development of strategies sales plans for all hotels not meeting Concord Hospitality sales/revenue standards.
  • Provide Hotel Ownership reporting as requested for either market research, hotel performance, or forecasting.
  • Responsible for up to 75% travel conducting hotel visits and assignments.
