JOB SUMMARY
The Product Manager for Food Operations Management (FOM) will be responsible for the FOM product line at Computrition. The product manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing as well as ensuring that the business needs are properly understood and correctly reflected in the solutions developed. The role will require managing the product throughout the product lifecycle including gathering and prioritizing customer and internal requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the development team, to deliver winning products.
The position also includes interacting with sales, marketing, professional services and application support teams to ensure that both revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist in the definition of the product strategy and roadmap
* Create and maintain the Product Backlog containing prioritized features and corresponding business justification
* Create new and update existing software requests for development with user stories and necessary documentation for all Computrition software products.
* Act as a liaison between the business and technical groups
* Participation in team brainstorming and problem solving/design sessions.
* The entry and update of stories/design tasks into Team Foundation Server
* Work with external third parties to assess partnerships, channels, and licensing opportunities
* Be an expert with respect to the competition
* Perform product demos to customers and prospects as requested by the National Director of Sales and/or Account Relationship Management team (ARM)
* Work with Business Development to set competitive pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
* Work with Business Development and Marketing to develop sales tools and collateral
* Work with the Sr. Documentation Editor to create/maintain all internal/external user documentation and computer-based training
* Brief and train the Business Development team on new releases, enhancements, and products at sales meetings or via webinars
* Brief and train the Customer Care and Professional Services teams on new releases, enhancements, and products
* Assist the Account Relationship Management Team in preparation and conducting of the Annual User's Meetings
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
*Food Operations management experience strongly encouraged.
* Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies- maintaining/prioritizing a backlog, etc.
* Excellent teamwork skills
* Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
* Must be able to travel 25% of the time
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
