Our growing company is looking to fill the role of mold maintenance technician to join our team in the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of all plastic tooling molds. At Moldtronics, Inc. we provide molding, machining, design, mold building, and manufacturing services, for the aviation, defense, and commercial industries.
MOLD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successfully assemble and disassemble injection molds.
Clean mold cavities, cores, slides, and components.
Identify and repair worn or damaged components such as springs, pins, bushings, switches, etc.
Perform mold core/cavity changeovers.
Experienced with manual tool room equipment: milling, drilling, lathe, grinding and tapping.
Provide production input to managers regarding mold status.
Prepare molds for production as per schedule.
Proficiency in mathematics.
Solid knowledge in measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.
MOLD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year or more of experience within the Injection Molding Industry, specializing in the repair of Injection Molding Tooling.
Must possess mechanical aptitude.
Strong communication skills.
Must be a self-starter and work with little supervision.
Ability to work with a team.
Detail oriented.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vison, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Must be able to lift, carry, pull, push up to 50 pounds.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
A successful candidate must complete a background check.
We are an ITAR facility and hire only U.S. persons who are defined as U.S. citizens or green card holders.

Core Hours of 7:00am – 4:00pm
