**Thomas Cuisine is hiring Cooks for a unique healthcare setting.** The Prep Cook position requires a friendly, outgoing person with the ability to communicate effectively while working in a professional manner. This position demands an effective level of culinary competency with basic knife skills, culinary skills, and knowledge of the operation of all kitchen equipment. The employee will demonstrate good organizational skills and the ability to follow a recipe and make recipe conversions accurately. The position requires that the employee maintains a high level of attention to detail at all times when executing recipes and services. The employee is expected to work as part of a team, while also functioning as a self-driven component of the kitchen operation. **This position is great for a person new to the culinary industry.** **$16.50-$18/hr.** **Friday-Saturday & Monday-Tuesday**

* Must have previous cooking/health care diet experience preferred.

* Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.

* Follow cafe guidelines concerning guest services, food, and physical safety, maintenance, and equipment/space cleaning requirements at all times.

* Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with the Cafe's recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines.

* Scratch cooking experience is a plus

* Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

* You will be working 30 to 40 hours per week

* Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State) and drug screening
