**Description**

**Thomas Cuisine is hiring Cooks for a unique healthcare setting.** The Cook performs a wide variety of tasks and processes to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, and visitors, following standard practices and procedures while complying with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include: follow standard recipes, production sheets, tallies, and ingredient room sheets to achieve nutritiously, high quality, cost-effective meals and handles food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices. **$17-$19/hr.** **Shifts vary Friday-Tuesday or Sunday-Tuesday**

* Must have previous cooking/health care diet experience preferred.

* Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.

* Follow cafe guidelines concerning guest services, food, and physical safety, maintenance, and equipment/space cleaning requirements at all times.

* Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with the Cafe's recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines.

* Scratch cooking experience is a plus

* Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

* You will be working 30 to 40 hours per week

* Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State) and drug screening
