Compass Commercial Construction Services LLC is Hiring a Project Manager Near Bend, OR

Who We Are:

Locally owned and based in Bend, Compass Commercial is Central Oregon’s one-stop-shop for all things commercial real estate – offering brokerage, property management and construction services under one roof for clients in Central Oregon and beyond.

Compass Commercial Construction Services started in 2008. Since then, we have become a major Central Oregon general contractor performing new construction, commercial TI and multi-family projects throughout Central Oregon.

What you’ll do:

  • Preparing and tracking project budgets
  • Cashflow forecasting.
  • Project Scheduling
  • Preparing Requests for Proposals
  • Evaluating contractor bids and presenting award recommendations to executive leadership
  • Preparing and issuing project status reports
  • Negotiating change orders
  • Reviewing contractors’ applications for payment and other project invoices
  • Administering quality control program
  • Assisting with obtaining all project approvals and entitlements
  • Conducting project punch list and close-out
  • Interfacing with all internal and external parties associated with the project

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in construction management.
  • At least six (6) years of commercial construction experience required.
  • Proven working experience in construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages (Procore).
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols and risk management practices.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction/project management software.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality control standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources.
