SZABO Landscape Architecture is currently seeking a Project Manager / Landscape Architect to join our team.

Established in 2014, SZABO has become the premier landscape architecture firm in Central Oregon, creating exceptional outdoor spaces throughout the Northwest and beyond. Our work spans from luxury destination resorts and master planning to prominent public spaces, urban mixed-use developments, and high-end residential projects.

Our team works out of a beautifully renovated, historic building in Bend's downtown hub, enjoys a work-hard-play-hard mentality, is passionate about design, and has been known to enjoy occasional powder-days at Mt. Bachelor. With world-class skiing and mountain biking, abundant lakes and rivers, a seemingly endless amount of hiking trails, and sunny high desert weather, Central Oregon is truly a wonderful place to call home.

Candidates should have a passion for design and problem solving, be proactive and conduct themselves with a sense of personal responsibility, work well in a collaborative team environment, and possess a portfolio that demonstrates strong design and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • general project management for a variety of project types

  • developing design concepts in collaboration with studio leaders

  • preparing comprehensive construction documentation packages

  • construction administration

The ideal candidate should…

  • possess a proven ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • be able to meet aggressive project deadlines

  • present a high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness

  • promote collaboration across all disciplines

  • provide and receive feedback in a thoughtful, respectful, and supportive way

  • experience with managing projects from permitting through CDs and during constriction, including RFI response and submittal reviews

  • exhibit strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills

  • experience with both residential and commercial projects

  • planting and irrigation design experience

  • work with a sense of energy, passion, personal responsibility, and thrive in a small to medium-sized office environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree of Landscape Architecture from an accredited university

  • 5 years of experience in a professional landscape architectural office

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Microsoft Office software

  • Proficiency in Lumion a plus

  • Professional licensure a plus


Compensation

Salary offers will be commensurate with abilities and experience. SZABO offers competitive benefits including: fully paid health and dental insurance, retirement program, paid holidays, vacations, and bonuses. We arrange our schedule to work half-day Fridays.
