CSC is looking for a Facilities and Operations Manager to run the day-today maintenance and operations of our Downtown facilities. 

This includes tasks such as scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance, supporting agency receiving needs, and ensuring that all safety and security regulations are met. The Facilities and Operations Manager will be required to travel to other Agency sites to perform work as assigned. This position also works closely with the Maintenance Specialists to complete maintenance tasks, as well as with other manager level employees to ensure operational effectiveness.

Specific responsibilities:

1. Schedules and coordinates repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
2. Ensure that all safety and security regulations are met.
3. Meet all Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards required for safety of classrooms and playgrounds.
4. Assist with the development and implementation of long-term plans for the maintenance and improvement of facilities.
5. Respond to and resolve facility-related issues and complaints.
6. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
7. Receiving: Accounts for all deliveries made to the agency; accurately tracks receipts and bills of lading for processing against purchase orders; makes deliveries to all agency owned and leased locations; contacts vendors for information pertaining to deliveries; keeps accurate records in Receiving.
8. Supports event set-up and office/equipment moves.
9. Completes corrective and preventative maintenance including, but not limited to:

• • Changes light bulbs & ballasts.
  • Replacing air purifiers filters throughout facility.
  • Removing trash and debris.

1. Completes and fills out work orders related to maintenance tasks.
2. Completes all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Training

1. 5 years of experience in the maintenance trades.
2. High School diploma or GED.
3. Valid Driver’s License.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

1. Ability to read and understand basic drawings and blueprints.
2. Basic knowledge and understanding of all trades (Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC)
3. Demonstrated proficiency with specialized power equipment.
4. Obey all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
5. Basic proficiency with applicable technology including Microsoft Office, internet, email applications, etc.
6. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
   1. Able to communicate effectively with a diverse community and all levels of agency constituents.
7. Effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
   1. Able to complete work under time and scheduling constraints.
   2. Able to establish work priorities.

Physical Requirements

1. Able to walk or stand for long periods of time.

4. Able to lift 50 pounds and carry it 75 feet.
