DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS in Behavior Support at Community Care Connections assist individuals with intellectual disabilities/ autism to acquire, retain and improve communication, socialization, self-direction, self-help, daily living skills and other adaptive skills necessary to be part of the community.

While behavioral experience is helpful, training will be provided to a candidate who is willing to learn or has similar experience or training. Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the residential or community supports field have the basic experience and knowledge to transition into this position. This position ensures support is provided to participants using positive practices. You would work as part of a team to implement the plan developed to help the individual reach the goals leading to greater inclusion in their community and neighborhoods. Individuals considering further education to become a Licensed Behavioral Specialist are encouraged to gain experience through this position.
