COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is Hiring an Employee Engagement Specialist Near Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking an enthusiastic Employee Engagement Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and working closely with the entire CBH HR team, you will play an important role in creating an inclusive employee engagement experience that positions us as an employer of choice. As the Employee Engagement Specialist, you will manage large-scale programs and projects with concurrent deadlines, enhance creative employee engagement communications, and serve as the primary contact for engagement activities and events. Your collaboration with internal partners, identification of solutions to improve employee engagement, support for data collection and analysis, and coordination of virtual and in-person events will be pivotal to the success of our engagement initiatives.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum requirement of 40% onsite presence. Additional onsite work may be necessary based on activities or other operational needs.

Responsibilities:

Employee Resource Groups Support

  • Develop and advance employee resource groups, initiatives, and events to foster employee connections and build a strong sense of community. This includes coordinating meetings and events, providing administrative support and completing other tasks as needed.
  • Support corporate-wide DE&I initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within CBH.

Event Planning:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine event objectives and requirements for employee engagement, ensuring alignment with CBH’s values and goals.
  • Develop and implement an annual calendar of events and corresponding budget.
  • Provide comprehensive support in planning and executing engaging in-office and virtual employee events. This involves managing logistics coordinating with vendors, setting up equipment setup, and creating efficient schedules.
  • Partner with in-house facilities and IT teams to ensure seamless execution of in-person events.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of event-related materials and services.
  • Organize and execute all-staff onsite, and offsite gatherings several times a year, including budgeting and agenda creation.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and maintain high-quality standards while seeking cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal communication teams/marketing to promote internal and external corporate events, maximizing engagement and participation.
  • Gather feedback from participants to continuously improve event experiences and align then with employee preferences.

Employee Intranet Content Development and Information Management:

  • Manage the dissemination of employee communications, employee recognition events and other engagement-related information through the company's intranet site, ensuring widespread visibility and appreciation celebrating team member milestones and professional accomplishments.
  • Plan and execute volunteerism and giving programs and initiatives to encourage employee involvement and social responsibility.

Employee Engagement Surveys:

  • Administer employee engagement and exit surveys and polls to gauge employee satisfaction, motivation and feedback.
  • Manage the dissemination, collection, analysis, and reporting of survey data to identify trends and actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Use analytics and data-driven evidence to support retention and engagement programs & recommendations.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the HR team on employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee experience and well-being.
  • Help build and sustain a team-oriented, inclusive, and cooperative culture where team members feel valued.
  • Enhance creative communications and take ownership of their improvement to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.
  • Edit and proofread internal and external employee engagement communications to maintain clarity and alignment with CBH’s values.
  • Support special projects based on business needs, contributing to employee satisfaction and well-being.
  • Assess program effectiveness, feedback, and employee involvement, using data-driven insights to guide future engagement strategies.
  • Assist human resources and learning and development with onboarding initiatives, including training, communication, and other processes.
  • Develop and maintain positive work culture that fosters employee engagement,well-being and overall job satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years prior work experience in employee engagement, event planning, or similar roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of engagement strategies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, enabling effective communication and data management.
  • Excellent time management and verbal/written communication skills, enabling efficient coordination and clear messaging.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure precise execution of events and initiatives.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, demonstrating professionalism and adaptability in various situations.
  • Openness to learning various aspects of the business and new technologies, showing eagerness to grow and adapt.
  • Experience with event coordination preferred, demonstrating the ability to manage logical aspects effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment, actively seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.
