The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church is Hiring a Specialist, Engagement and Church Relations Near Philadelphia, PA

What you will do:

  • Support meeting and travel management, document management, and on-site and virtual business partner meetings for the Executive Vice President.
  • Effectively coordinate the Executive Vice President’s long- and short-term schedule, prioritize conflicting demands, and proactively manage adjustments to the calendar.
  • Support budget management for the Engagement & Church Relations team through regular expense monitoring and reconciliation of invoices, staff travel and education costs, and the preparation of reports.
  • Process time and attendance time off exceptions by approving requests, corresponding with managers to resolve outstanding exceptions before payroll is due, and track attendance as needed.
  • Support partnership initiatives overseen by the Executive Vice President, including programmatic and administrative support to the Assistance programs, through the documentation and organization of the administrative and legislative history.
  • Actively manage Engagement & Church Relations staff meetings by coordinating logistics, booking conference rooms, arranging catering, coordinating equipment, distributing materials, and ensuring all necessary resources are available.
  • Support the development, finalization, production, and distribution of presentation materials, including meeting materials for the Board of Directors tri-annual meetings of the Assistance and Church Engagement Committee.

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; preferred.
  • 4 or more years of strong experience providing logistical administrative and planning.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and with all Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint).
  • Proficiency with customer management software, preferably Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with OnBase or equivalent enterprise content management system for document management.
  • Proficiency with travel and expense management platforms; Concur Travel and Concur Expense preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, editing, proof reading, problem solving and communications skills.
  • High energy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities, effectively and simultaneously manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities.
  • An ability to learn and understand the Presbyterian Church and its connectional structure.
  • An ability to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday at the 2000 Market Street office in Philadelphia.
  • An ability to stay current and maintain a level of professional expertise via seminars, literature, formal training, and development.
