COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is Hiring a Director of Finance Near Philadelphia, PA

 
*Minimum salary: Starts at $99,800 and is commensurate with experience 

Position Overview:

The Director of Finance serves as a liaison to other functional areas within CBH to understand and communicate relevant financial decisions and to provide financial data and/or analysis as needed. This position also provides leadership to the Finance and Quality Assurance staff.

  • Assure adherence to CBH policies and procedures so that all work is of the highest quality and delivered in the most culturally competent and cost effective manner.
  • Promote and manage diversity and acceptance within CBH and with all members and stakeholders by honoring and respecting their individuality, dignity and rights.
  • Offer suggestions and develop solutions to help promote effective and efficient work processes and innovative programs.
  • Actively participate in required meetings and complete all mandatory trainings.
  • Maintain high levels of advocacy and member confidentiality to ensure the success of CBH and our mission.
  • Assist in assuring both internal and external program integrity by being alert to and reporting suspected instances of provider and employee fraud, waste or abuse.

Essential Functions:

  • Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, performance management, coaching, team building and succession planning.
  • Provide and present various financial analyses, including rate negotiation letter, cost effective strategies and financial impact of policy and program changes to the HealthChoices Program, to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other members of Executive Management.
  • Participate in technical, financial, utilization and business operations meetings. Provide financial data analysis and information and make recommendations. Update CFO and finance staff of projects in the pipeline.
  • Direct Finance team to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required by the State.
  • Devise methods for finance staff to retrieve meaningful data for complex financial analyses.
  • Support audit staff with analysis, reports and supporting documentation necessary for annual audit.
  • Coordinate the processing of compliance claims adjustments and reporting results to the Compliance Department. 
  • Review and analyze claims data to forecast medical expenses.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics
  • License/Certification: N/A
  • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial forecasting and analysis and in managing and developing employees

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in using SQL, including querying and troubleshooting
  • Thorough understanding of data manipulations and reconciliation
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
