Description

The Communications Manager directs all of the organization’s communications, and is solely responsible for generating and managing accurate, high quality content and design for all websites, social media, and other electronic media. The position also serves as a liaison with the media and develops all marketing and outreach plans and activities to promote the Council and its programs to the public, participants, donors, and employees. The position maintains a consistent, professional, and visually appealing design across all platforms, written and electronic/digital and directs the Council’s branding and image management.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, English, public relations, journalism, marketing, social work or a related degree.
2. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of successful, relevant experience required.
3. Must possess leadership and interpersonal skills.
4. Superior writing and editing skills required.
5. Excellent oral communication and cognitive skills required.
6. Must demonstrate proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (CS6) and possess substantial experience in website design and content management.
7. Experience with multi-platform social media management.
8. Must be well organized, deadline oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks and accomplish goals sometimes on short notice.
