Electrical Maintenance Technician
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime may be required.

Company is a leading manufacturer of racking systems. Currently in a growth period, so adding personnel to help with the increased production.
About the job:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician position is full time position and is based at one of our shop locations in NJ. This position maintains circuit boards and conducts routine repairs on all the production machinery and their electrical components.
Responsibilities:•Install and repair electrical systems, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Must follow the electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Installation of power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning machinery, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices, using hand tools.
  • Troubleshoot and repair or replace any faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
  • May need to diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Completes other duties as assigned.
Required:•HS diploma required or GED equivalent.
  • 3 years of hands-on work experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment.
  • Must have expertise and strong understanding of PLC Controls.
  • Strong ability to read measure devices and blueprints.
  • Possess strong electrical and mechanical abilities.
  • Must have own hand tools.
