Job Duties

The Human Resources Operations Manager assists with optimizing workflows within the HR
applications and other operational functions. Responsibilities include gathering data, improving
workflow performance of various Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions and
processes, making recommendations to improve HR interactions across the university, and
managing the department’s budget and invoicing. This position also oversees the Benefits
administration professional(s). This position fulfills liaison duties between HR and a variety of
departments, including but not limited to, the Office of Information Technology, the Payroll
Office, Budget and Planning, and the Accounts Payable & Receiving Office. This position will
be the initial point of contact for all human resource operations issues. This position is on-site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates with IT and HR teams to analyze HRIS application requirements
2. Develops and implements various HRIS procedures and prepares customized reports
3. Designs and executes custom reports using various software
4. Monitors HRIS applications and maintains integrity of all data
5. Ensures the appropriate administration of benefits to staff and faculty
6. Oversees the dissemination of benefits information, as well as campus wide events regarding
benefits
7. Provides efficient feedback to all system enhancements and provides training when necessary for system and application processes
8. Assists with problem resolution for HR production issues
9. Assists department in gathering requirements for changes and participates in HR application
solutions
10. Provides application support to all HRIS reports
11. Develops and implements new processes and systems for efficient HR management
12. Performs statistical analysis on gathered HRIS data
13. Performs audits on HR processes, data and documents, when required
14. Develop partnerships across departments and deliver HR value-added service to employees
15. Develops and maintains positive relationship with employees
16. Maintain and troubleshoot all HR systems
17. Keep up to date on hiring regulations and update internal processes as necessary
18. Responsible for overseeing job descriptions and monitoring performance evaluation
processes
19. Assess department and University needs in relation to recruiting, hiring, onboarding new
employees and improve processes and establish policies where needed
20. Maintain and monitors the Human Resources budget
21. Works with accounting and departments to ensure accountability and that funds are
department funds are used appropriately and that payments for invoices are processed
22. Maintains accurate employment records, including the I-9 and W-4 forms, student
employment information and the collection of the data required for ongoing compliance reports
23. Reviews and verifies employee verification data
24. Advises department managers in all areas of human resources including policies and
procedures
25. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all applicable State and Federal law, trainings,
University specific policies and processes, and day to day HR management
26. Works with department managers to resolve routine human resource system issues
27. Keeps track of technological advancements and trends in HR information management
systems

Minimum Qualifications

1. Critical thinking skills, proactive, results oriented
2. Experience with Oracle/Peoplesoft/Cardinal applications
3. Demonstrated experience with Crystal Reports
4. Proven experience in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically SharePoint
5. Proven work experience as an HRIS Analyst, Operations consultant or similar role
6. Experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including documentation
8. Relevant training and/orcertifications as an HRIS Analyst
9. Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the University
10. Ability to effectively manage multiple employees
