Description
The Division of State Risk and Insurance Services provides and procures cost effective insurance for state owned property.
We currently are searching for an energetic, professional individual to join our team in the role as the Procedures Development Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the technical advisor for the Fire and Tornado Fund.
  • Review and process Fire and Tornado Fund requests.
  • Assist state agencies with property insurance needs.
  • Assist in presenting at trainings for state agencies.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Microsoft Office experience (Specifically excel)
  • Team oriented.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral & written communication expertise.
  • Property insurance underwriting experience.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional experience in public or business administration, political science, statistics, policy analysis, economics, or a related field.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Professional experience in public or business administration, political science, statistics, policy analysis, economics, or a related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
