Columbus Urban League is Hiring a Program Administrator -FES Near Columbus, OH

Job Description:

The position will be responsible for all administrative support duties for the 700 Credit Score program in the organization as needed. As a high-level administrator, is responsible for onboarding and training new staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strong ability to perform skilled clerical and administrative functions, including but not limited to preparing and mailing correspondence and other materials as needed.
  • In charge of enrolling and scheduling participants in to the virtual curriculum.
  • Establish and perform a complete and detailed filing system.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a tracking system for participants and program outcomes.
  • Fiscal management including but not limited to tracking spending per each grant budget, including program supplies and maintaining an accurate inventory of those supplies.
  • Assist in processing, recording, and submitting financial information to the Finance Department.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions
  • Obtain all timesheets and mileage for each program and review, before submitting to appropriate supervisor for approval.
  • Maintain all program files for compliance and be audit ready at all times.
  • Excellent data entry and attention to detail skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Assist with executing marketing strategy across all platforms for each program in FES
  • Strong ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, gather data, and complete all department reporting as needed.
  • Responsible for onboarding and training new administrative staff.

Customer Service

  • Answer all incoming calls for the program and transferring to the appropriate individual.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate individual.
  • Assist all customers, clients and vendors with questions and have critical thinking skills to resolve the issue.

Program Support

  • Provide direct support to the Associate Vice President and Financial Services Director.
  • Assist with organizing program staff schedules, classes and events.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Education

Use HUD-approved curriculum and tools to educate and counsel at least 160 families annually on how to budget, save, improve credit and, ultimately, qualify for home loans. Also, intervene and assist when crises threaten housing stability.

Fair Housing

Increase access to and the availability of adequate, affordable housing for low and moderate income households throughout Central Ohio without regard to race, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and familial size or relationship. Provide counseling and mediation between landlords and tenants to resolve conflicts and prevent homelessness. Provide fair housing education to landlords and tenants regarding the rights and responsibilities under local, state, and federal laws.

700 Credit Score

The 700 Credit Score Community Initiative is designed to improve the financial stability of Columbus Ohio residents. Financial Empowerment Services aims to assist clients seeking credit and money management coaching which includes client budgeting, debt elimination, expenses, savings and introducing wealth creation opportunities. Financial Empowerment Services is also committed to providing solutions to the unbanked/underbanked community through leveraging relationships with our partners.
Required Experience:

The requirements for this position are:

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 3-5 years of experience in direct customer service and administrative support duties or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office required.
  • Valid driver license, auto insurance and reliable transportation is required.

Professional business attire and appearance required.
