Description
The SBDC is the largest network of business advisors in the state, providing technical assistance to more small business and underrepresented businesses than any other organization in the state. Our advising is free and confidential, and we pride ourselves in being of service to all of our communities in the state of Oregon. We need your help to continue to deliver these amazing services to our small business communities.
The South Wasco Business Navigator functions as an integral part of the SBDC by supporting our numerous partners in South Wasco, assisting entrepreneurs and small business owners in overcoming inequities and barriers in their entrepreneurial journey. The Navigator provides entrepreneur support, project management, and values effective communication. This position completes a wide variety of tasks based on what is needed by South Wasco Business Bridge participants, SBDC clients, and Maupin Works members. The Navigator must be flexible with excellent organization skills, understanding of business, and office-related activities. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities that are essential to the role. Requirements
EXPERIENCE
Experience in working with numerous stakeholders and community partners, and managing projects and/or programs. Demonstrated experience in communication, outreach and community engagement. Experience providing technical assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs in a plus.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
