Description

Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) is seeking a dynamic Bilingual Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator to join our Student Services team. This highly organized and enthusiastic individual will work directly with the Director of Advising & Outreach to execute activities designed to bolster access and facilitate enrollment in the College’s service area and beyond. In this position, you are responsible for engaging with prospective students and helping them navigate the admissions process. You will represent the best of CGCC in the most relevant manner with prospective, former, and current students, as well as families, community partners, and stakeholders. A high level of professionalism will be expected when attending college recruitment fairs, conducting campus tours, and advising applicants on their academic options. The position requires a demonstrated ability to work with individuals of diverse needs and backgrounds, as well as the capacity to work as a member of a diverse team. Frequent regional, in-state, and occasional out-of-state travel will be required. Some nights and weekends may be necessary. 

Role Profile:

• Assist the Director of Advising & Outreach in representing the quality and scope of an education at CGCC to high school students, parents and the general public. 
• Present CGCC’s programs, admissions process, and basic financial aid information to both large and small diverse audiences both in-person and virtually.
• Represent CGCC at local and regional college fairs and events.
• Work in tandem with the team to manage and serve designated recruitment territory.
• Provide support with summer programs, college orientation sessions, and other recruitment and outreach activities.
• Utilize CRM systems to input and manage prospective student data from a variety of inquiry sources in a timely manner. 
• Engage in student follow-up campaigns and communication.
• Collaborate within Student Services staff, including Financial Aid and Academic Advising, to create a student-centered, welcoming environment for prospective and newly admitted students.

Requirements

The successful candidate for the position will have the following qualifications:

• Associate Degree with more than 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Bilingual/Bicultural in English/Spanish

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Higher education experience
• Experience in marketing/communication

Columbia Gorge Community College is located in an area of exceptional scenic beauty, recreational opportunity, and climatic diversity. The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area offers spectacular waterfalls and scenic vistas, while the majestic Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood volcanoes dominate the skyline to the north and south.
