COLSA is Hiring a Systems Administrator (AMP EEDRS) Near Huntsville, AL

Job Description
The Army Metering Program (AMP) Systems Engineer will maintain and support AMP technical infrastructure that includes network, hardware, database, and/or system software components for the Enterprise Energy Data Reporting System (EEDRS).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions):
  • Perform analysis on AMP system problems.
  • Work with AMP system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc.
  • Define AMP system objectives and prepare system design specifications to meet user requirements.
  • Analyze various ways to derive input data in order to select the most appropriate process.
  • Implement AMP system design specifications.
  • May define input and output file specifications including file organization.
  • May define controls, conversion procedures, and system implementation plans.
  • Assist with the hardening of systems to conform with all applicable regulations from DoD and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This includes, but is not limited to, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG).
  • Provide Plans of Action with Milestones (POAM) as well as status updates and reports as requested.
  • Analyze and resolve difficult and complicated program support deficiencies related to AMP.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and provide recommendations for preventative measures regarding AMP.
  • Maintain existing standard operational procedure (SOP) documentation and draft new SOPs and other documentation as necessary.
  • Support Command's Risk Mitigation Framework and Methodology and execute the Command's Risk Mitigation Framework using standardized designs related to AMP.
  • Continually review and analyze current procedures in order to recommend and implement administrative policies and procedures to maintain best-practice operations.
  • Conduct analysis of completed cyber risk assessments to identify, develop, and recommend technical and operational solutions (material and non-material) to mitigate, resolve, or remove risk.
  • Provide Program Management and life-cycle-cost/performance guidance, mentoring, and support to a variety of AMC industrial, facilities, and communications programs.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field such as information systems, engineering, or other related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years related experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • DoD 8140 Level II (Security ) and computing environment (CE) certifications required
  • Ability to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings.
  • Travel Required 10-15%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Past Army/Government Civilian/Contractor Network Enterprise Center (NEC) Experience.
  • Knowledge of Cyber analytic tools (ACAS, SCAP, STIG Scanners).
