SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) program on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Position Overview:

This role is a Senior position requiring a self-starter who can bridge teams to solve problems and provide guidance to other system administrators.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with other teams/team members to resolve technical issues that may arise during development and testing.
• Applicant must have experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and network devices.
• Understanding of network administration tools, techniques, and methods.
• Fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP).
• Active Directory Domain Administrator - Manage and maintain: Sites and Services, DNS, Group Policy Objects, Computer/User Objects, LDAP, Authentication protocols, AD Permission delegation using the least privilege methodology, Dynamic/Static AD groups, as well as other Domain services in accordance with MS best practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Current versions of Windows (e.g. Server 2019, 2022, Windows 10, 11 Enterprise).
• Experience with PKI implementation/infrastructure.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure /add new services as necessary.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Windows domain architecture experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Server products.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Directs and assists other SAs in troubleshooting and resolving system problems and hardware failures.
• Conducts technical assistance visits, as required.
• Works with Information Assurance (IA) technicians to mitigate vulnerabilities, report IAVAs, STIGS, and patches and develops POA&Ms for applications.
• Provisioning (physical & virtual), configuring, maintaining, monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting Linux Operating Systems (RHEL 7/8/9).
• Security hardening Linux in a standalone environment to comply with DISA STIGs as well as addressing Tenable Nessus scan results.
• Install & maintain various Linux applications such as Apache Tomcat, Kerberos, LDAP, Centrify, Java.
• Provisioning hardware, storage, resources and configuration/administration, including high-availability and failover services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree with five (5) years of experience; an additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:

• Active Secret security clearance required to begin work on the contract 
• 100% onsite; No telework is available for this position
• U.S. citizenship is required

• CompTIA Network
• OS related certificate or equivalent (CompTIA Linux )
