Colossal Contracting LLC is Hiring a Proposal Manager Near Annapolis, MD

Description

Colossal Contracting, LLC is looking for a Proposal Manager that will support our in-house Proposals team working closely with Federal Programs and Engineering remotely with the capability to report to our Annapolis, MD headquarters when necessary. The Proposal Manager will support multiple complex proposal efforts for the Federal government, DoD, and Civilian Agencies. Specific training and experience with the proposal development process is required, as well as the ability to create compliance checklists, response outlines, response templates and proposal management plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read, review, analyze, and interpret proposals and objectives of solicitations and other documents.
  • Work directly with Engineers to develop complex work flows, SOWs, BOMs, and past performance statements.
  • Develop and maintain a high degree of technical understanding and work as a liaison between high level engineers and non-technical individuals. 
  • Edit, proof, format and provide visualizations for proposals.
  • Write, review and edit proposal content.
  • Coordinate elements of proposals to ensure compliance with instructions.
  • Work with the sales team to research opportunities and gather intelligence on customer, competition, and potential partners.
  • Assist with special projects related to pre and post submission activities.
  • Ensure 100 percent compliance for all proposal efforts.
  • Document action items, meeting minutes, due dates and set expectations.
  • Maintain internal processes and bid workspaces.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or comparable work experience in a writing or editing discipline.
  • 2 years of experience writing proposals within IT and government contracting. 
  • Ability to analyze potential costs and benefits of proposed projects.
  • Excellent written and research skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously.
  • Previous experience writing proposals to respond to Federal Government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, etc. is highly preferred. 

Travel
None, this position will sit remote but will report to our Annapolis, MD HQ.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm.
