Lexical Intelligence brings together technical capability, analytical experience, and deep subject matter expertise to deliver AI solutions to policy and decision-makers in the Federal Government as well as the private sector.

Lexical is seeking an adept individual with the ability to quickly learn Lexical’s business objectives in order to write winning proposals within our competitive landscape, including the federal government. The Proposal Writer will play a crucial role in the growth and success of our company by creating compelling and persuasive proposals for potential clients, partners, and funding agencies. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and persuasive language.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in biomedical, technology, or consulting industries.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and persuasive language.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to gather and analyze information from various sources.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with proposal management software and/or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 - 5 years of experience.
  • Advanced degree.
  • Shipley Training and experience preferred.
  • Experience writing biomedical and/or AI-focused contracts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical experts, to gather information and insights for proposal development.
  • Write and edit clear, concise, and compelling proposals that effectively communicate Lexical Intelligence's value proposition, capabilities, and solutions.
  • Conduct thorough research on potential clients, industries, and market trends to tailor proposals to specific audience needs and preferences.
  • Ensure proposals adhere to company branding, style guidelines, and formatting standards.
  • Manage the proposal development process, including organizing timelines, coordinating reviews, and meeting submission deadlines.
  • Maintain a repository of proposal content, templates, and best practices for future use.
  • Support business development efforts by assisting with the creation of other sales and marketing materials, such as presentations, case studies, and whitepapers, as needed.
