Position: Antigen Lab Manager

Location: Denver

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Position Purpose: Responsible for the supervision of the Antigen Lab staff. Oversees purchasing and production of antigens used for patient testing and treatment at CAAC under the direction of the Director, Clinic Operations and the Antigen Committee Physician Chairperson. We are looking for a positive, responsible individual to contribute depth & knowledge to our busy practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develops, implements and demonstrates, knowledge of management and leadership responsibilities in performing office policies, procedures and protocols
• Coordinates all staffing coverage for the Antigen Lab
• Works with team in preparing patient immunotherapy treatment sets, preparing and maintaining antigen skin test trays and refills utilizing established quality standards to meet patient needs
• Performs inventory for antigen supply
• Ensures Quality Assurance in recording all pertinent information in patients’ records and in vial preparation
• Operates in compliance with waste disposal policies
• Operates on a computer base program in preparing antigen recipes with accuracy
• Performs duties in compliance with a sterile/and or clean environment
• Performs proficiency quiz and media tests
• Performs all operational and leadership duties in a professional and positive manner
• Works with the team maintaining a quiet and focused atmosphere
• Communicates professionally, internally and externally, with physicians, staff, and/or vendors in assisting with answering questions on immunotherapy policies or procedures
• Maintains high level of focus for details and ensures staff does the same
• Continues personal and professional growth
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Prerequisites:

• Graduate of approved, accredited professional school with medical emphasis and/or:
• MA, CNA, LPN or equivalent experience and education
• Current CPR Certification
• Demonstrates OSHA, HIPAA, U.S. Pharmacopeia, and National Lab Compliance adherence at all times
• Proficient in computer skills (Word and Excel need high proficiency)
• High level of accuracy in mathematics
• Prior lab experience and prior supervisory experience preferred
• Strong professional references required

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an approved, accredited professional school.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2-years experience at CAAC.
• MA, LPN or RN status.

PERSONAL:

Ability to communicate well at all levels and to set an example.
