Position Role Type:

This position is for an experienced supply chain management professional, managing relationships with key suppliers to drive on time delivery of products and leading projects focused on optimizing procurement practices, supply side SIOP and supplier performance. This position is in support of the Phoenix Lighting supply chain team based in Phoenix, AZ. T

Travel expectation: May need to travel to supplier locations or other Collins sites as necessary, approximately 10-15% of time. There is a strong preference for this role to be located onsite in Phoenix, AZ, but a hybrid model (typically working 2-4 day onsite) may be considered for an ideal candidate This role may be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with key suppliers supporting the Phoenix Lighting Value Stream.
  • Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of procurement goals, including RFQs, negotiations, cost accountability and/or program/project execution
  • Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for key suppliers
  • Track portfolio obsolescence status and work with internal stakeholders to identify and qualify alternate sources
  • Lead projects to optimize procurement practices and continuous improvement
  • Serve as supply chain lead for responding to internal and external audits regarding supply chain policies and procedures
  • Work closely with Operations, Planning and Materials Management functions to optimize SIOP processes to meet operational requirements while minimizing inventory levels
  • Utilize project management approach and process improvement discipline via fact based decision making, leading projects according to plan, including identifying and mitigation of project risks
  • Brief leadership and program team on supplier metrics and program/project status
  • Any other reasonable duties as required

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  • Knowledge of supply chain, vendor management, materials management, Risk Assessment/Mitigation
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner, with strong customer service focus.
  • Experience in using SAP/ERP system
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience of working in Aerospace
  • Possess excellent judgement and professional maturity
  • Experience working with FAR/DFAR requirements

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
