Job Title : Representative, Inside Sales
Position Location : Vernon Hills, IL
FLSA Status (Exempt / Non-Exempt) : Exempt
Position Summary :
Strategically grows key accounts and captures new business within assigned territory through outbound telephone contact. Primary focus will be the life science sector which includes pharmaceutical and bio-tech organizations.
Communicates Cole-Parmer’s value propositions by offering product and services. Works to establish effective business relationships with multiple levels.
Identifies new business opportunities with account and actively closes on leads, quotes, etc.
Key Responsibilities :
establishes working relationships with end-users and buyers in order to secure sales.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with multiple customer departments (Purchasing, Engineering, Maintenance, Laboratory and Quality);
identifies key players at customers’ organization; understands and meets customers’ needs.
Makes suggestions for alternative products when items are not readily available.
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in a science related fieldfrom an accredited higher learning institution strongly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Minimum 1 year Inside / Field Sales or Technical Product experience in related product categories strongly preferred.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
ability to analyze data and compile reports as needed. Must be able to assimilate data and draw conclusions.
