Senior Program Manager (On site)

Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a Product/Program Manager, to lead and manage an engineering team, someone who can plan strategies for the development of designs and products on schedule, and on budget, to drive innovation, and deliver high-quality software solutions to our clients. Solid experience in Planview PPM Portfolio & Project mgmt. is needed.

Location: Santa Clarita, CA (On site)

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

Analyze, propose, and manage budgets technologies and resources for projects.

Plan strategies for the development of designs and products on schedule and on budget.

Communicate and collaborate with other managers stakeholders and contractors.

Prioritize delegate and supervise all engineer activities and deliverables.

Manage support and evaluate engineers’ performance.

Hire new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities.

Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions when needed.

Build the entire technical documentation and project roadmaps.

Key Qualifications:

- 8 years of project / program management experience.

- 4 years as scrum master, dedicated to managing enterprise level software application development projects preferably with Learning Management Systems

- Agile Scrum Master certified

- PMP Certified

- Experienced scrum master managing multiple scrums teams applying scrum principles, practices, and theory with minimal direction

- Experience working with legal IT and business stakeholders

- Experience managing multiple large programs/projects, in enterprise environments delivering business applications for one or more departments.

- Experience guiding teams and overcoming project hurdles/obstacles.

- Experience with Agile traits and techniques: Safe, Scrum, Lean design, accommodating changing requirements, iterations, loop feedback with customer

- Experienced scrum master managing multiple scrums teams applying scrum principles, practices, and theory with minimal direction.

- Excellent communication skills, problem solving, conflict / resolution management, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skills

- Certified SAFe Scrum Master (Desired)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems

The annual salary for this position is between $72K – 156K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
