CodePath is Hiring a Remote Senior Product Manager

About the Role

Location: Remote, United States

Duration: FTE

Reporting to: Director of Product Engineering

Compensation: $125,000 to $165,000 per year

We’re at a pivotal moment in our growth as an organization. Having proven the value of our work to funders over the past seven years, we’re laying out the roadmap for the next era. Our goals are ambitious: grow from serving around 10,000 students each semester to 100,000, build sustainable revenue streams that will allow us to reach that scale, and use AI and other technologies to do it all at a lower cost per student served. We’re redesigning our entire UI, building out a data infrastructure to help us make better decisions more quickly, and integrating artificial intelligence into our student and instructor experience. 2024 is a year of incredible change at CodePath, and we’re looking for the right product manager to lead the charge on our small, skilled, and growing engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have experience gathering requirements, determining key metrics, writing specifications, prioritizing projects, user testing, building and managing a product roadmap, and partnering with engineering on execution. Experience with ed tech is a plus, and we’d love to talk with candidates with experience in workflow automation or B2B SaaS as well.

This is a rare opportunity to not just build features as part of a structured team but also collaborate with engineering to define a product development process and roadmap. We’re a small group of passionate veteran engineers who thrive on autonomy and a connection to the purpose of our work, and we’re eager to work with you on making the greatest impact possible on the lives of our students.

Key Activities

  • Work with our leadership team on developing a product roadmap that aligns with the company's overall strategy

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders, including students, teachers, and administrators

  • Identify core metrics to track our success in building a scalable, self-sustaining organization

  • Wireframe and design UX for our web-based products

  • Lead the design effort on our AI integration across multiple platforms

  • Work with skilled, autonomous, veteran Ruby and Python engineers to design and develop innovative learning products

  • Stay up to date on AI and other technical developments that can be used to improve our products

  • Participate in the hiring process for new engineering and product team members

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in product management

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Passion for education and technology
