Job Description:

ANGARAI's Cloud Support Services Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing cloud-based solutions to support the agency's mission of safeguarding the environment. This role focuses on ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure and services.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Configure, deploy, and manage cloud resources on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Monitor and optimize resource usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance.
• Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Provide timely resolution of cloud-related incidents, outages, and service disruptions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards for cloud-based systems. Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Establish and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans for critical data and services in the cloud.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts, templates, and automation workflows to streamline cloud operations and deployments.
• Capacity Planning and Scaling: Monitor resource utilization and plan for capacity scaling to accommodate changing workloads and demands.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud configurations, processes, and procedures. Share knowledge with team members to ensure a high level of expertise across the cloud support team.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with other IT teams, application developers, and stakeholders to align cloud services with EPA's business goals.
• Training and Professional Development: Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and cloud service offerings. Participate in training programs and certifications related to cloud platforms.

Minimum Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in cloud administration and support (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with security best practices, compliance standards, and data protection in cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are a plus.
