ANGARAI is looking for a highly competent and experienced Information Technology Project Manager to manage two Information Technology (IT) projects for a public sector Client.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
The Information Technology Project Manager will be responsible for the following activities:
Managing two (2) IT Projects, including but not limited to:
1. Maintaining expert-level knowledge and skills relative to the Client Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Project Management Office (PMO) templates
2. Creating and maintaining the Project Plan (PP)
3. Monitoring the ongoing project activities against the project management plan and any project performance baselines
4. Monitoring and controlling project scope, cost, and schedule
5. Tracking all project performance against any performance metrics
6. Working in partnership with the Client project team, infrastructure team, and project vendors to manage the release of new software
7. Viewing stakeholders/business owners’ functional duties holistically to understand the impact of dependent/inter-related business functions
8. Chairing project and status meetings
9. Managing project-related issues including but not limited to:
i. Determining the source of issues, including but not limited to; 1. System requirements, 2. Data, 3. Performance, 4. Workflow, 5. Business process, 6. Quality of the software, or 7. Training
ii. Determining the impact of an issue – high, medium, or low – and Creating strategies for issue resolution
iii. Assessing where the issue should be assigned e.g., Client/project team, vendor, Client’s systems stakeholders, or back to the originator for clarification
iv. Consistently review all updates to issues and ensure that there is complete and thorough documentation and appropriate assignment
v. Control change and recommend corrective or preventive actions
10. Maintaining and updating the risk register, including but not limited to:
i. Determining the probability and impact of all risks
ii. Developing risk contingency, mitigation, or avoidance options
11. Ensuring each software release or patch contains:
i. Vendor test results
ii. Client-required configurations
iii. Release notes
12. Creating and reviewing integrated change control requests
Creating and maintaining the following project artifacts as needed:
1. Charter (Scope Statement)
2. Stakeholder and Vendor Management
3. Project Schedule
4. Requirements Traceability Matrix
5. Data Conversion/Migration
6. Risk Register / Issues Log
7. Deployment Plan
8. Test Plan
9. Acceptance Plan
10. Status Reports
11. Meeting Minutes
Preparing regular and ad hoc reports, including:
1. Weekly project report of progress and status
2. Weekly time report
3. Additional reports as requested
