Position Summary:

As a member of the accounting team, the bookkeeper has the responsibility for handling different types of financial transactions and reporting. The bookkeeper will work seamlessly with the team to ensure transactions are processed accurately in accordance with specified timelines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities will include:

1.Accounts Receivable

a. Create and send bills to customers for payment. Research discrepancies and handle inquiries.

b. Enter received payments daily. Review and validate that payments align with receivables expected. Investigate discrepancies and follow up with internal parties to achieve resolution. Escalate issues as appropriate.

2. Accounts Payable

a. Enter accounts payable information into accounting system.

b. Create and send checks for payment.

3. Prepares month-end accounting close process and ensuring proper cut-offs through closing of AR/AP, processing bank reconciliation, payroll breakdown, miscellaneous cash entries and monthly adjusting and reversing journal entries.

4. Analyze, interpret and manage COGS GL accounts as specified by management.

5. Organizing and filing as required within job scope.

6. Assist with special projects, reviews and reconciliations as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices. Requires excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
