Analytics Consulting LLC is Hiring a Payroll Accountant Near Chanhassen, MN

Position Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced payroll accountant to join our team in Chanhassen, MN. In this position, you will play a vital role in accurately and efficiently managing all payroll-related activities of court ordered distributions from class action settlement funds. This position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare payroll calculations in accordance with class action settlement agreements and applicable state and federal wage regulations,
  • Remit monthly EFTPS and state tax deposits,
  • File monthly and quarterly state tax filings including the preparation of state data import files (.csv of Excel format),
  • Prepare annual W-2 and 1099-MISC forms and relevant annual state reconciliation reports and W-2 data files,
  • Respond to tax notices and communicate project updates with the project management team; and
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), some SQL exposure a plus,
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliations,
  • Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations,
  • A willingness and ability to be flexible with various projects is required.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business,
  • Previous payroll tax experience,
  • Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.
