JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: National Closing Manager Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Position: Salary/Exempt Department: Closing
Position Overview
The National Closing Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for managing the retail closing department. This role will also serve as the point of contact and expertise for all division closing departments.
Position Responsibilities
Team Management
· Perform side-by-side observations and meet regularly to ensure all team members are performing at their highest potential.
· Deliver consistent training throughout the team to continually increase knowledge and overall productivity. Training should be extended to all closing teams.
· Utilize training, performance assessment, coaching, and project management best practices to lead and manage team to successfully achieve goals.
· Develop effective plans that enable all areas of the Closing Operations team to meet and/or exceed performance targets and service level agreements.
Department Management
· Source of contact and expertise for all division closing teams.
· Respond to and resolve all escalated issues raised by internal and external customers ensuring processes are in place to mitigate future escalations and potential risk.
· Ensure service level agreements and/or standard workflows are consistently met.
· Adhere to all required lending policies, procedures and standards.
Position Education/Experience
· Expert knowledge of consumer real estate lending products, regulatory compliance, closing functions and underwriting guidelines.
· In-depth pipeline management experience required.
· In-depth knowledge of title requirements to assure priority lien.
· Planning, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent leadership skills and customer service orientation.
· Proven change management experience.
