Job Description:

The IT Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in planning, executing, and finalizing projects of various sizes and complexities. These projects align with the strategic objectives of one or more business areas, adhering to strict deadlines and defined budgets.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Project Manager is responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan.
• Additionally, they define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefits of IT and business investments.
• The Senior Project Manager is experienced and self-sufficient in performing their responsibilities, including making project-related decisions with minimal supervision but seeking general guidance and direction as needed.

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical or scientific field, or equivalent experience, education, or training.
• Scrum Master certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership abilities to influence and motivate cross-functional teams towards shared goals. Exceptional communication skills to convey complex concepts and build robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Project Management Excellence: Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple projects concurrently, delivering on time and within budget. Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, including SDLC, with a track record of creating comprehensive lifecycle deliverables.
• Industry Experience and Technical Proficiency: Preferred background in the technology industry or similarly fast-paced environments. Proficient in utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, Clarity, and Jira.
• Interpersonal Skills and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, adept at working collaboratively in a team setting and acting as a resource to colleagues with less experience.
• Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Flexible in navigating change, with the ability to conform to shifting priorities and timelines through analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Stakeholder Management and Engagement: Skilled at eliciting cooperation from diverse sources, including upper management, business partners, and other departments. Effective at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
• Project Planning and Execution: Proficient in defining project scope and objectives, overseeing the development of detailed business requirements, and creating estimates for effort, schedule, and budget. Capable of creating and managing all project management deliverables.
• Monitoring and Communication: Track, manage, and adjust project plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery. Communicate requirements, solution design, and estimates to project sponsors, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Team Coordination and Support: Effectively coordinate with technology, business, and vendor teams to ensure project success, offering guidance and support as needed.
