Function:
This is a key leadership position in the live event production division of Clearwing. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of event engineering associates to deliver entertainment experiences aligned with Clearwing’s core values. This leader will communicate and implement company initiatives, strategies, vision, and processes to their staff to create and maintain a functional and healthy departmental culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the production engineering department which is responsible for: estimation, concept designs, technical drawings, system designs
Manage and mentor the engineering team employees by establishing expectations, coaching, and goal setting with follow-ups and evaluations to contribute to a healthy company culture.
Understand unique show specifics and priorities to delegate team assignments.
Identify areas where additional training is needed and coordinate those needs with the training and development team.
Work with Managers from Sales, Operations, and Warehouse to ensure workflows are in alignment
Develop new processes for the engineering department as a portion of the production team.
Providing problem solving insight to the engineering team regarding the company's capabilities and limitations.
Development, Implement, Maintain and Train companywide audiovisual, lighting and networking system standards.
Visit Clearwing branch locations quarterly to develop rapport with the entire production team.
Visit show sites as needed to review processes and understand engineering’s contributions to the final production.

Skills and Qualifications:
Basic knowledge in all the following areas: lighting, audio, rigging, and staging systems and infrastructure.
Ability to read and understand necessary documentation.
Five (5) years’ experience in the production entertainment industry.
Previous leadership experience.
Deep knowledge and understanding of Clearwing inventory.
Exceptional multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are required.
Availability outside of normal business hours is often required.
Physical Working Conditions:
Regularly bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry, lift 50-75 lbs.
Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Walk up and down stairs or ladders.
Climb heights up to 25’.
Work in various temperatures and outdoor weather conditions.
Work "on-call" as needed including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work long hours and overtime as required.
