FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING MANAGER 

THE PERSON

We are in search of a dynamic and entrepreneurial professional ready to elevate Clarity Voice's finance function to new heights. This position reports directly to the CEO. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Daily Accounting Operations: Perform and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping for the Company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Financial Reporting and Business Analytics: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, analyzing variances for margin growth and expense management. Utilize data analysis and business intelligence tools to extract insights and provide data-driven recommendations for strategic financial decision-making.

  • Financial Controls: Develop and maintain robust financial controls for data integrity and regulatory compliance. 

  • Financial and Lending Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including revenue recognition standards, and provide financial reports and analyses to ensure compliance with loan requirements. Establish an operational foundation to support significant growth. 

  • Budgeting: Collaborate on annual budget forecasts with the CEO and COO to align financial goals with strategy and regularly report on Actual to Budget performance. 

  • KPI Management: Create, track, and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement. 

  • Cost and Working Capital Management: Conduct variance analysis to enhance margin growth, and drive improvements in working capital by overseeing and optimizing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory. 

  • Risk Analysis: Assess financial risks and benefits to support business decisions as needed. 

  • Vendor and Relationship Management: Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts, and manage key relationships with financial institutions, legal entities, and other stakeholders. 

  • Industry Benchmarking: Track and analyze industry norms and benchmarks to ensure competitiveness and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Process Enhancement: Identify process improvements and automation opportunities for a more efficient financial infrastructure. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and/or equivalent experience.

  • 5 years of experience in public accounting, full-cycle accounting for multiple businesses, audits, and financial risk management. 

  • 5 years of experience managing billing departments and key financial vendor relationships. 

  • 5 years direct supervisory/management experience. 

  • 5 years managing key relationships with financial vendors and in lender management. 

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES: 

  • Expertise in cash flow and expense management. 

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Telecom experience and finance background is a plus. 

This role will be based in the Detroit area and will include a hybrid work arrangement, with at least one day in the office and additional in-office availability as needed.
