Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk will be responsible for entering vendor invoices and expense reports for multiple companies with multiple locations. The AP Clerk will ensure that invoices are accurate and properly coded for payment. The function is heavily involved in the payment processing of ACH and EFT.
Essential Functions:

• Verify invoices and check requests
• Sorts, codes, and match invoices
• Sets invoices up for payment
• Process invoices into multiple software’s
• Ensures all invoices are accurately coded for payment
• Prepares and processes electronic transfers and payments
• Prepares and performs check runs
• Maintains account payable records

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Understanding basic business concepts and General Ledger codes and departments
• Gives attention to detail and follows instructions.
• Ability to stay organized and switch between tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Effective time management
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external parties.
• Good communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
