Position Summary

The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for facilitating, implementing, reviewing and measuring results of calendar marketing programs and promotions for assigned DMAs and franchise groups. Ensure effective communication of enterprise brand strategies to assigned DMAs and franchise groups and partnering with CKE media team and agencies to craft and deliver DMA flowcharts to stakeholders and optimizing and adjusting media tactics based on sales results and franchisee feedback.

Essential Functions

May perform any or all of the following duties:

• Protects CKE’s trademark to the degree that all “non-shelf” advertising is submitted to them for creative/strategic approval and aligned with brand standard guidelines.
• Translates National Marketing objectives into fully integrated DMA Marketing Plans.
• Educate new franchisees and company operators on establishing accurate unit profile data with KDM (CKE Fulfillment partner) and turnkey local restaurant marketing tools available to address specific business needs.
• Assist with new unit openings, remodels and competitive blunting efforts for assigned DMAs.
• Creative broadcast decisions by market/franchise groups on calendar “flex” messaging for calendar windows that offer regional/daypart options to media and merchandising departments.

What you'll need to be successful in this role

• Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements
• Must possess approximately six (6) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of Marketing and PR
• BA/BS Degree preferred (Marketing, Communications or Public Relations)
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Must have excellent organizational and planning skills
• Prefer 1-2 years minimum experience with local restaurant marketing
• Prefer 1-2 years minimum experience with radio/television, OOH, print, digital media and media planning and working knowledge of DMA budgets
• Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
• Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information

• Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
• Lifts up to 25lbs
• Travels within local assigned territory approximately fifty (50) %
