Budget Analyst M15JOB SUMMARY:Under general direction plans,organizes, and manages the fiscal services, building maintenance, fleetservices,
customer support services and purchasingactivities of the Police Department.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1.Ability to plan and administer the annual budget, payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, fleet maintenance and records, which includes supervising subordinate staff members, preparing professional level staff reports, performing personnel related functions, statistical analysis, maintaining a systematic inventory and coordinating purchases involving RFP's, contract adherence and final acquisition.2.Ability to plan, direct and monitor the operation and maintenance of the Police Department's facilities and associated properties by coordinating custodial services with outside vendors ensuring the contract is maintained; negotiate and maintain the lawn maintenance contract, coordinate building repairs and/or construction with city facility services and outside vendors for all Police Department buildings.
3.Ability to manage the Police Department's fleet of vehicles including proper assignment, equipment and
maintenance while serving as a liaison with City Fleet Services.
4.Ability to coordinate special projects as assigned by the Police command staff.
5.Directly oversee the Grants Coordinator, guiding the acquisition, management, and reporting of grant funding, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and compliance with funding requirements.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:1.Ability to supervise subordinate personnel by establishing work plan objectives, evaluating performance to ensure objectives are met, and administering city personnel policies and procedures in a fair and efficient manner.
2.Ability to ensure accurate and efficient records maintenance of budget, inventory, payroll, and personnel.
