The Resource Land Manager role is perfect for individuals that want to manage and improve the forest estate through deployment of industry leading silviculture treatments and land operation activities in a manner that maximizes financial returns. Individuals should have a passion for continuous learning, a desire to work in a team environment and a willingness to collaborate with and assist other work groups. In this position, you will make decisions that will shape near and long-term outcomes and will contribute to our mission of growing sustainable forests to support consumer needs while caring for the environment and protecting endangered species. Primary tasks include coordination and supervision of operations (site preparation, planting, herbaceous weed control, fertilization, thinning and timber stand improvements); using decision support tools to financially evaluate treatments; performing silviculture updates in GIS database; coordinating road and boundary line maintenance; supporting timber marketing with harvest compliance as required; and developing and maintaining good relationships with adjacent landowners, industry contracts and government agencies.

Location: This role will manage our property in the following counties, Jasper, Newton, and Tyler. It would be recommended that this person live in one of these counties working remotely the majority of the time due to the proximity of the land to the office in Lufkin, TX.
