Department: CityGate Grille Restaurant
Reports to: General ManagerStatus: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $8.40/hr Tips

Role Summary:
The Food Runner is responsible for creating an excellent dining experience for each guest through positive personal interaction and timely service. The ideal candidate has a confident demeanor and embodies the spirit of hospitality. The ideal candidate is able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Works as part of a cohesive front of house team to provide quality service.
Responsible for keeping the pace of service.
Willing and able to work in both Restaurant and Banquet functions when needed.
Prompt and correct delivery of food orders to the dining room tables is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

Illinois Food Handler Certification is preferred.

Experience

Prior restaurant experience preferred

Skills

Neat and clean appearance.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work nights weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
