SUMMER RECREATION ATTENDANTS - CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE I
(LIMITED DURATION – SUMMER ONLY)
As a Part-Time Summer Recreation Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for children at our summer recreational facilities. You will have an opportunity to assist with various recreational activities, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This is a part-time position suitable for individuals seeking summer employment.
SALARY / PAY RATE: $14.55 per hour minimum.
RECREATION ATTENDANTS/CAMP COUNSELORS: Conducts a variety of recreational activities by leading children in games, arts & crafts, athletics, etc. Maintains discipline and complies with safety rules and regulations. Sets up and operates equipment such as props, furniture, SmartTV, movie projector, audio equipment, etc. Maintains cleanliness of the facility; maintains activity records and reports; performs other assigned work as designated by supervisor. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive listing of essential job functions; the performance of other essential functions may be required.
RECREATION ATTENDANTS/BUS DRIVERS: Transports children to various activities by driving a Polk County School Board bus to and from off-site activities. Assists in conducting recreation activities by leading children in games, arts & crafts, athletics, etc. Maintains discipline and compliance with safety rules and regulations. Sets up apparatus and other equipment; performs other assigned work as designated by supervisor. Polk County School Bus Driver Certification is required and a copy of same must be submitted with the application.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED KNOW LEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diplomas. Nature of all recreation jobs requires good physical strength, coordination, and dexterity. Must be able to work outside in hot, humid weather. Must be able to work entire summer.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Absence of non-prescribed controlled substances in the applicant’s system as verified by a laboratory approved by the City of Winter Haven.
