City of Henderson, NV is Hiring a Vehicle Services Assistant (Part-Time) Near Henderson, NV
Position Overview
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create a consideration for hire list and to fill one (1) part-time vacancy for the classification of Vehicle Services Assistant in the Department of Public Works. The consideration for hire list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of manual/mechanical work functions associated with vehicle and equipment maintenance; performs related duties as assigned.Position Details:
- This is a part-time, non-PERS eligible, position.
- This position will work, on average, no more than 19 hours per week.
- This position will work from 6:00a - 4:00p two (2) consecutive days a week, between Monday - Friday.
- This part-time position does not qualify for medical benefits or union representation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school, vocational school or the equivalent
- One (1) year of full-time experience performing a variety of tire services to include dismounting, mounting, repairing, and balancing vehicle and equipment tires up to 24.5" in diameter, OR one (1) year of full-time experience performing preventive maintenance inspections and servicing vehicles and equipment
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license as defined by NRS 483

All candidates who wish to be considered for this position will need to be in Henderson, Nevada, and make themselves available to participate in the testing process at any time on any of the dates listed above.
