Position Overview
This is an open and continuous recruitment which will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days and close without notice once a sufficient pool of highly qualified candidates has been created.
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of SCADA System Technician in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, programs, maintains, and repairs the computers and computer peripherals in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system; and performs related duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate would have experience reviewing control systems designs, programming both PLC and SCADA systems, and have excellent troubleshooting skills.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, or a closely related field
    • Five (5) years of experience in writing and maintaining control logic programming, writing and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications, and modifying, maintaining, and repairing computers and computer peripherals of a SCADA system
    • Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
    • Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
