JOB Assists Police Media Manager with communications to the public, media and other organizations. Produces and monitors communications for the department, including Community Relations Unit programs, Community Outreach Center programs, Animal Services program, traffic safety campaigns, press releases, reports and other general department communications. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES 1. Works under direct supervision of the Police Media Manager.2. Creates robust interactive communication that engages the community. 3. Coordinates and produces articles for publications, newsletters, reports and other documents.4. Generates ideas for digital content including website and social media.5. Develops and proposes story ideas for media and social content.6. Creates content for digital signage in briefing room.7. Reviews cases as needed for social media coverage or media pitches.8. Ensures a unified message is conveyed from the Department.9. Produces photo and video content as needed.10. Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.11. Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.12. Performs other duties as assigned.
