Analyzes financial and operational data related to management objectives; assists with coordinating the annual budget and works with other departments to prepare the annual budget and related documents; works on special projects as assigned by Fiscal Services management.
1. Assists in the development and creation of proposed and adopted budgets and five-year financial forecasts.
2. Coordinates and reviews annual budget development and submissions with departmental staff including providing instructions, reviewing for technical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures, format and guidelines.
3. Prepares budget agendas and presentations.
4. Participates in City Council budget work sessions and meetings.
5. Analyzes historical trends, surveys other cities, computes revenue expectations, and provides summary reports.
6. Performs special projects and responds to requests for financial information including complex statistical forecasting models, historical trend analysis, and other financial projection methods to provide management appropriate information.
7. Facilitates organizational training on budget process and provides technical assistance.
8. Prepares routine reports such as cost analysis, performance data, financial target analysis, and produces routine expenditure and revenue reports to provide appropriate monitoring for corrective decision making.
9. Performs a variety of delegated research tasks and projects, documents findings and prepares reports, graphs, charts, and other illustrative materials as required.
10. Utilizes financial software programs in evaluation of data as needed.
11. Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
12. Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
13. Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.

Casual/Part-Time employees are scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week and are not eligible for City sponsored benefits. However, all legally mandated benefits will be extended to any part-time employee.
