Amwins Group, Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Charlotte, NC

Position Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing timely, accurate and effective information, support and administration of HR functions. The HR Generalist will work with the Human Resources team to provide excellent service to our employees throughout the firm.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • New Hire Documentation – review and oversight of Offer Packages
  • Checking new hire loads in ADP to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in administration of New Hire Employee Orientation
  • Administer/Approve benefits including enrollments for new hires, changes for current employees and assist with Open Enrollment
  • Administer/Approve Educational Assistance Applications and Referral Bonuses
  • Data Integrity – ensuring data is correct in the system
  • Process Termination paperwork not limited to Severance Agreements, manage communication with payroll regarding terminations
  • Administer Exit Interviews as requested
  • Assist with HR investigations, including fact finding and note taking
  • Assist with Performance Management – including reviewing record of counselings and performance improvement plans
  • Assist with bonuses and compensation review for each position
  • Assist employees by guiding them through self-service options for the HRIS Systems
  • Process Employee Verifications and income reports
  • Assist employees with recording and validating their PTO
  • Determine when a situation should be escalated to the Senior Associates or HRBP’s
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR team
  • Assist the HR Team with various research projects and/or special projects as needed
  • Assist with employee questions and concerns by phone and HR Team Mailbox

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field preferred
  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience preferred

Physical Demands and Work Hours

Light work, requiring exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.

8:30am-5:30pm with an hour for lunch and flexibility depending on business needs.
