City of Apple Valley, MN is Hiring a City Clerk Near Apple Valley, MN

Carries out duties of City Clerk's office, as prescribed by statute, and manages all functions of the office. Supervises Division Specialist and maintains official records and files for the City. Full-time, Monday – Friday; Days. Exempt. Attends twice-monthly evening City Council meetings. Extended hours for multiple days preceding and during elections season.

Requires Associate degree in business, office administration, or closely related field (completion of post-secondary certificate program or equivalent in relevant field, plus five years of recent experience may be substituted for associate degree); 3 years recent executive administrative assistant experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to exercise initiative, discretion, and independent judgment; ability to meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure, and handle a number of tasks; strong organizational skills; excellent computer skills in Word and Excel; experience working with electronic records systems; and ability to meet physical requirements of position. Prefer experience in local government and elections.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $101,325.00 - $126,655.00 per year
