In this position you can expect to work on site at the Aquatics Office, located inside the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center.
What You’ll Do
With a staff of over 400 lifeguards across 15 indoor and 16 outdoor swimming pools, it takes a team of dedicated, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individuals to ensure the highest-quality aquatic programs, safety, and customer service are being delivered to communities across Denver.
Denver Parks and Recreation is currently seeking an adept and accomplished recreation professional to join this team as an Aquatics Coordinator at the Aquatics Office, located inside the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center.
In this position, you will support year-round efforts to recruit, train, and retain staff members across Denver Parks and Recreation’s diverse network of facilities.
In addition, you will evaluate the staffing and scheduling needs across these facilities to anticipate hiring needs, develop pool and program schedules, and partner with other Aquatic Coordinators and agencies to deliver the resources necessary for successful facility operations.

Required Minimum Qualifications
requires a Lifeguard Instructor Certification, First Aid Instructor Certification, and a Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator Certification prior to completion of the probationary period (licensure and certification must be kept current as a condition of employment)
Equivalency : Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
